Our Services
Two halves of one business: the declarations that get your goods across the border, and the vehicles that carry them. Everything we do is on this page, so pick the part you need.
Customs Clearance
Around two thirds of what we do is customs. We file imports and exports into CDS, open and close transit movements, submit safety and security data for both directions, and deal with the queries that come back. Each page below covers one part of that properly.
Customs Clearance Services
The whole customs offer in one place, start here if you are not sure.
Import Declarations
Full frontier, simplified and EIDR entries into CDS.
Export Declarations
Export entries and the accompanying documents that travel with the load.
Customs Declarations
Classification, valuation, origin, duty and VAT.
T1 and T2 Transit
Transit declarations, guarantees and office of destination.
ENS and Safety and Security
Entry summary declarations for the UK and the EU.
ICS2 Filings
Pre-arrival data into the EU for road, rail, air and sea.
Dover Customs Clearance
The short straits routes, Sevington and the Kent ports.
Sevington Clearance
Transit opened and discharged at the inland border facility, minutes from our office.
Irish Imports
The UK export entry and the Irish import entry filed as one movement.
Irish Exports
AES declarations, boarding notifications and transit across the land bridge.
Road Freight and Forwarding
The other third is moving the freight itself, almost all of it by road between the UK and Europe. Air and sea we treat as customs work rather than as transport, and that is roughly five per cent of our declaration volume.
Road Freight, UK and Europe
Vehicles to and from Europe with the customs entry on the same job.
Part and Full Loads
Groupage, part loads and dedicated full trailers.
Freight Forwarding
Door to door movements arranged and documented end to end.
Time Critical Freight
Deadline driven movements for aerospace, automotive and motorsport, customs included.
The Declaration and the Truck, Same Conversation
Most customers come to us for one of the two halves and end up using both, because the awkward part of a cross border movement is usually the join between them. When the same team files the entry and books the vehicle, there is nobody to chase for a reference number.
If you only need the customs side, that is fine, that is what most of our work is. If you already have a broker and only need the transport, that is fine too.
- One point of contact. The same named person for the paperwork and the movement.
- Filed fast. Most declarations are submitted within minutes of your documents reaching us.
- Two offices. Ashford for GB and Dublin for Irish movements, one team behind both.
- Round the clock. Declarations go in through the night and at weekends.
- Your name or ours. We work behind forwarders and hauliers as often as we work direct.

Choosing the Right Service
I am not sure which service I need. Where do I start?
Tell us what is moving, where from and where to, and we will tell you which declarations it needs. Most UK to EU road movements need an export entry, a transit or import entry at the other end, and safety and security data. The customs clearance overview walks through the whole set.
Can you handle the customs and the transport on the same job?
Yes, and that is the main reason people use us for both. The road freight side and the customs desk sit in the same office, so the entry, the transit movement and the vehicle are booked against each other rather than passed between three companies.
Do you work with freight forwarders and hauliers?
Regularly, and a good share of our customs volume comes from them. We file in your name where you need us to, we do not approach your customer, and you keep the relationship. It is a way to add customs capacity without adding headcount or a software build.
Do you cover Ireland as well as Great Britain?
Yes. We have an office in Dublin and file Irish entries as well as UK entries into CDS, so a GB to Ireland movement can be handled at both ends by one team. That includes transit where the goods move under a T1 or T2 rather than being cleared at the frontier.
What about air and sea freight?
We clear air and sea consignments, and that is about five per cent of our declaration volume. What we do not do is pretend to be an air or sea carrier. If you need the freight itself moved that way we will say so, and we will still handle the declarations at either end.
Can I file my own documents rather than send them to you?
For ICS2, safety and security GB and French ELO documents, yes. Z-Clear is our own portal and it walks you through creating those yourself, with our customs team on hand if something needs checking. Full import and export entries we file for you.
Not sure which of these you need?
Tell us the route and the goods and we will tell you what the movement actually requires, and what it costs.
