Meet the Team
Customs clerks, transport clerks, accounts and the two people who started the company. When you call, one of these is who you get.
The Zelir Team
Eleven people cover the whole job here: the declarations, the vehicles, the invoices and the phone at three in the morning. Customers regularly name the individual who helped them in their Google reviews rather than naming the company, which is a fair reflection of how the place runs.

Alfie Scott

Sianne Manning

Olivia Izzard
Sales Executive
First point of contact for new enquiries, quotes and getting an account set up.
Who Picks Up, and What They Can Do
The customs clerks and the transport clerks share an office, so an entry and a vehicle can be sorted in the same conversation rather than by two firms emailing each other. Accounts and sales are in the same room again, which is why a query about a duty figure does not take three days to answer.
Entries are filed here rather than handed to a third party bureau. If your load is sitting somewhere it should not be, the person who filed it is the person who will get it moving.
- Customs clerks. Import, export and transit entries into CDS, plus the safety and security data that goes with them.
- Transport clerks. Vehicle planning, collections, deliveries and the driver side of a crossing.
- Accounts. Invoicing, duty and VAT payments and anything on your statement you want explaining.
- Sales. Quotes, new accounts and working out which service a movement actually needs.
- Directors. Joe and Matt founded the company and both still work in it.
What That Adds Up To
Four things we can show you, instead of four adjectives about passion and efficiency.
People You Can Name
Every one of them is on this page with a face and a job title, not hidden behind an inbox.
Somebody Is Awake
The customs desk is staffed overnight and at weekends, because that is when trucks move.
From 40+ Google Reviews
Several of them name the individual who did the work rather than the company.
Authorised Economic Operator
AEOC authorisation with HMRC, held by the company these eleven work for.
What Our Clients Say
Public Google reviews, quoted as written.
5.0 ★★★★★ 40+ Google reviewsMatt Dawson clears almost all of our cargo from Ukraine to the UK, and he is the fastest and best guy we have ever met!
Fast, friendly & super knowledgeable. I often speak with Matt, Alfie & Will, they have supported me numerous times.
Zelir are always on hand day or night to complete any declarations required.
Working with the Team
Will I deal with the same person each time?
In normal circumstances yes, you get a named clerk who knows your goods, your commodity codes and your usual routes. Overnight and at weekends whoever is on the desk picks it up, working from the same file, so you are not starting the explanation again at midnight.
Who actually files my declarations?
One of the customs clerks above, in house. We do not pass entries to a bureau or an overseas processing centre. If you want to know how the filing itself works, the customs declarations page sets out what we need from you and what happens after we submit.
Can I speak to somebody at night or at the weekend?
Yes. The company is open 24 hours and the customs desk is staffed through the night, which is when a good share of cross channel freight actually moves. Call +44 1233 516081 at any hour and someone who can file a declaration will answer.
Who do I contact about an invoice or a duty payment?
Accounts handles invoicing, payments and anything on a statement that needs explaining, and they sit with the clerks rather than in a separate finance centre. If a duty or VAT figure looks wrong, the person who filed the entry can be asked about it the same day.
Are the founders still involved?
Joe Jeffery and Matt Dawson founded Zelir Logistics and both are still in the business. More on how the company is set up, including our AEO authorisation and the two offices, is on the about page.
